Farmingdale High School Places Third In Regional Science Bowl

Farmingdale’s Science Bowl club competed against several Long Island high schools in the Long Island Regional Science Bowl competition at Brookhaven National Laboratory on Friday, February 3rd, and earned third place.

The students tested their knowledge in areas including biology, chemistry, earth and space science, energy, mathematics, and physics in the fast-paced question-and-answer tournament.

Congratulations to team members Rayan Adamjee (11), Ali Ahmad (12), Waseem Ahmad (12), Bevis Jiang (11), Madhav Rapelli (11), and science bowl club advisor Ashley Arroyo.

More than 315,000 students have participated in the National Science Bowl (NSB) since it was established in 1991, and it is one of the nation’s largest science competitions.
