Edward J. Bosti Elementary School’s Helping Hands Club donated $825 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital collected during a recent coin collection. Suffolk Federal Credit Union matched the school’s collection for a total of $1,650.
During a school assembly, Helping Hands Club adviser Lisa Manzo congratulated the altruistic club and the students who participated. “You are the ones that brought the coins and made it happen,” she told the students.
Additionally, Ms. Manzo announced that the second grade class brought in the most coins or $240.10, which will be rewarded with a No Homework Day. Other grade level winners won a pizza party provided by SFCU.
