Students took turns throwing balls at the dunk tank, hoping to get their principal underwater.
Students at Hiawatha Elementary School in the Sachem Central School District were excited to “dunk” their principal, thanks to a recent PTA membership drive. Principal Joe Watson stepped into the dunk tank, complete with a bathing suit, flippers and life vest. The student body gathered outdoors to watch Mrs. Lewis and Ms. Rostkowski’s fourth grade class have a chance at dunking Mr. Watson underwater.

Mrs. Lewis and Ms. Rostkowski’s class recently had the most parents sign up for the PTA during its membership drive. As the winning class, they had to opportunity to dunk the principal during this fun, end-of-school-day event.
