Bentley has been waiting too long for his forever family to find him. This cutie originally came in as an owner surrender in April 2022. He was in that home since he was a puppy, with a child who would taunt and hit him. Eventually, as expected, there was an incident where he bit the child, so he made his way here.

Bentley has bounced around in and out of adoptive homes always being returned either he is too big, scared of the loud noises in the home (including yelling between family members), and unfortunately, he doesn’t want to live with any cats anymore. He knows “sit” and “paw” and is very playful with toys. He needs a home that understands he will thrive best in tranquility, calmness and engagement. He wants to be part of the family dynamic (no other pets and adults only); he also wants to not feel like he is walking on eggshells. Our big boy just wants a home to call his own. He deserves better.

Rusty is also located in Wantagh, New York. He is a mature adult, American Staffordshire Terrier. A meet and greet is required for compatibility with other pets. He would do best in an adult-only home without cats.

Rusty arrived as a stray in October 2022. He was in bad shape with inflamed red, itchy skin where he would bite at the skin because of the discomfort.

Once the shelter got him onto allergy meds, gave him good food and found him a foster home (Dec 2022) he started to really shine. He could finally focus on something other than his itchy skin, where now he focuses on fun with his foster parents! A few walks and romps in a yard and he is ready for a nap. He is recommended to be in a home with kids (13 yrs old+). Rusty is interested in meeting other dogs (low-key). He responds to sit and gives a submissive smile. Rusty likes to meet new people, too and go to Doggy Day Care!

Unfortunately, his foster needs a new home for him because of a lifestyle change and we don’t want to see him come back to the Shelter. Please help Rusty find his forever.
