New York State Senator Steve Rhoads is launching a Dog and Cat Supply Drive to collect essential pet supplies for local animal shelters and rescue organizations throughout Senate District 5.
Senator Rhoads is encouraging residents to donate new, unopened dog and cat supplies, including dry and canned pet food, treats, leashes, collars, toys, blankets, towels, pet beds, food and water bowls, waste bags, puppy training pads, grooming supplies, cleaning supplies, and other essential pet care items.
Collection boxes will be available at participating libraries and PetSmart locations from
Monday, August 3 through Monday, August 10, 2026.
Following the drive, all donated supplies will be collected, sorted, and delivered to local animal shelters and rescue organizations to support animals in need.
