The Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI), a leading Long Island care provider for children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities, is thrilled to announce that its 25th Annual Golf Classic was a record-breaking success, raising $260,000. Co-Chairs Victor Dezelic and Sean Finn welcomed 144 golfers to the picturesque Muttontown Club for a day of golf and philanthropy.
The event kicked off with a delicious barbecue, before golfers headed onto the course, which featured exciting elements such as “Beat the Pro,” “Closest to the Pin,” and a putting green contest. The day culminated in a cocktail reception and dinner.
“We are immensely grateful for the unwavering support of our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers who make this annual event such a profound success. Their generosity directly uplifts a truly vulnerable and often under-recognized community, enabling DDI to provide the exceptional care and services that profoundly enrich lives,” said Joseph W. Schmidt, Esq. Board Chair of DDI.
Golf Classic Co-Chairs Victor Dezelic and Sean Finn said, ” Our commitment to DDI’s life-changing work runs deep. We are honored to help raise essential funds that enable DDI to provide the consistent support and resources people with autism and other developmental disabilities need and deserve.”
The 2025 Golf Classic was made possible by the generous support of its sponsors, including Corporate Synergies, Community Care Rx, Rockmore Contracting, JMF Contracting Corporation, Rosen Consulting Group, and many others.
A special thanks was also extended to the dedicated Golf Committee: Matt Becker (BDO), Michael Breunig (Harbour Financial), Rocco J. Cirigliano, CPA, Victor Dezelic (Corporate Synergies), Sean Finn (Rockmore Contracting Corp.), Don Gallant, Jr. (DRP Solutions), Craig Marino (CleanCo Distributors), Robert Rosen (The Rosen Consulting Group), and Joseph W. Schmidt, Esq. (RowanTree Law Group).
The DDI Golf Classic has generated significant support for children and adults in DDI’s care. An impressive $.91 of every dollar received goes directly to support DDI’s programs and services, making a truly remarkable impact.
Building on the success of the Golf Classic, DDI is excited for its Annual Walk, scheduled for Sunday, September 7th at Belmont Lake State Park in North Babylon, NY. This event promises to be another opportunity to champion DDI’s vital work within the community.
