Connetquot Varsity Cheer Places First At UCA Garden State Challenge

The Connetquot Central School District is proud to announce that the varsity cheerleading team placed first at the Universal Cheerleading Association Garden State Challenge, held in New Jersey this month. The cheer team is now preparing to compete at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championships, to be held in Orlando, Florida in March.

In addition to their competition win, coach Kelly Unterweiser reported that the team also received an honorable mention from Newsday as one of Long Island’s top 15 cheerleading teams on Long Island.

The district congratulates the team on this outstanding accomplishment and extends best wishes for success at the national competition.
