Connetquot Music Students Attend Festivals Of Music

More than 130 Connetquot High School music students recently hit the road to attend the Festivals of Music, held in Boston, Massachusetts. The dedicated students from band, choir, kickline and color guard performed with the utmost professionalism and exhibited excellence both on and off the stage.

The Connetquot High School band performed at the Festivals of Music in Boston.

Under the direction of Brad Drinkwater, James Nagle and Nicole White, the Connetquot Chorale received first place in their division along with a Superior Rating and the Best Overall Concert Choir. The Connetquot Concert Band, under the direction of Gregory Johnson and Stacy Stollberger, received second place with an Excellent Rating, and the Jazz Band placed first in their category. The Connetquot High School kickline and color guard, under the direction of Jennifer Bay, both placed first in their respective divisions.

In addition to competing at Festivals of Music, students toured the city of Boston on a Duck Boat Tour, visited the Museum of Science, Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, and  attended a performance by the Blue Man Group. The trip concluded with an exciting day at Six Flags New England.”
