The Connetquot High School track was alight with scenes reflecting the spirit of the holidays as the student government held its third annual Winter Spectacular on Dec. 9. Student and faculty volunteers worked diligently Friday afternoon to set up the beloved light show for the Connetquot community to drive through as soon as the sun set.
Each class was responsible for creating a holiday scene, which included Christmas trees, a sleigh and reindeer, a nutcracker, a lit tunnel and more. The marching band punctuated the spirit of the season with the playing of holiday music while dressed in Santa hats and glowing light necklaces. As the cars exited the track, traditional holiday characters thanked participants with greetings for the holidays.
