Connetquot students took time out of their summer schedules to enroll in the district’s enrichment program. Provided through SCOPE Education Services and funded through monies provided by the American Rescue Plan.

Connetquot students made salt watercolors in one of the district’s summer enrichment program classes.

Students enrolled in classes peaked their interests in chocolate-making, jewelry design, makerspace and STEAM, painting and more. High school students also had the opportunity to enroll in classes on college essay writing and SAT preparation.

The Connetquot Summer Enrichment Program provided classes in SAT prep and college essay writing for high school students.

Jaclyn Zuccaro, who headed the program, said she was extremely pleased with the turnout and that students had a wonderful time learning new skills. “The students were able to take the time to learn in a hands-on way,” Ms. Zuccaro said.

Connetquot students Emma D’Antonio , Giovanna La Rosa, Cole O’Brian and Joshua Muniz, who attended the district’s summer enrichment program, made a chocolate Eiffel Tower in the Chocolate STEM Engineering class.
