Blue Point Elementary Celebrate Dr. Suess’ Birthday

Blue Point Elementary School students celebrated author Dr. Seuss’ birthday, March 2, with spirit week and literacy activities.

The week commenced for kindergarten students with bringing their favorite stuffed animal to school for “What Pet Should I Get” Day. For “Cat in the Hat” day, students wore their favorite hats and wore their clothes inside out for “Wacky Wednesday.” They read “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” and dressed for their future careers on Thursday and pajamas on Friday for I’m Not Getting Up Day.

Blue Point Elementary School students celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday by bringing to school a stuffed animal for “What Pet Should I Get” Day.

First grade students read “Green Eggs and Ham” and wore green clothing for the occasion. On Tuesday, they read “Fox in Socks” and wore crazy socks. For “Wacky Wednesday,” they wore their clothes inside out, followed by wearing a hat and a shirt with wording to commemorate the author’s birthday on Thursday. The week commenced with the students wearing their favorite hat and reading the iconic “Cat in the Hat.”
