Nine Bellport High School students have earned national recognition through the
College Board National Recognition Program, which colleges use to identify academically competitive, underrepresented students.

Autumn Gambles and Hannah De Los Santos earned the National African American
Recognition Award. De Los Santos also earned a National Hispanic Recognition Award. Sara Abdelbasset, Tatianna Alvarado, Liany Kasten, Patricia Lopez, Scarlett Maldonado, Isabella Moreno and Katherine Yanza earned the National Hispanic Recognition Award, as well.

To earn the recognitions, the students were required to hold a grade point average
of 3.5 or higher, excel on the PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 exams, or earn a score of 3 or higher on two or more AP exams.

The South Country Central School District extends its congratulations to these students for their hard work and dedication to academics.
