Babylon Elementary School Receives $2,500 Playground Revitalization Grant

Babylon Elementary School has been awarded a $2,500 TangerKids Grant to fund upgrades that will make the school’s courtyard playground more accessible and useful for all students. Representatives from Tanger Outlets visited the school on Friday, January 30, to present the ceremonial check to Principal Thomas Keogh, staff, students, and parents.

The grant was secured through the TangerKids community grant program, which provides funding for special projects and resources that help local schools succeed. Principal Keogh, who spearheaded the application, emphasized the project’s focus on inclusivity. He said he envisions that at least part of the funds will go towards a school garden, which will be used for educational purposes.

“Thank you to TangerKids for this opportunity to help update our courtyard playground,” Principal Keogh said. “We are confident the improvements will benefit generations of students at Babylon Elementary School.”
