Assemblyman Durso Honors The Women Of West Islip

Assemblyman Michael Durso (Massapequa Park) recently recognized the Women of West Islip as a 2022 New York State Women of Distinction from the 9th Assembly District. The Women of West Islip has gone above and beyond to make the West Islip community a better place to live, work, and raise a family. The efforts of its founders, Regina Jacoby and Patty Vorilas, its leadership, along with the organizations 75 members (and counting), have had a significant impact on the community and in the lives of so many families. Through contributions, volunteerism, and mentorship, the Women of West Islip has a proven record of uniting the community and paying it forward.

“Each year, it is so important that we take time to celebrate the professional and personal achievements of extraordinary women and acknowledge their efforts that have enriched our communities,” Durso said. “On behalf of myself and the residents of the 9th Assembly District, we offer congratulations and thank the Women of West Islip for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to supporting the community with kindness, talent and philanthropy.”
