The Art League of Long Island invites the public to enjoy a lively celebration of creativity at Art in the Parking Lot, taking place Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the Art League’s grounds at 107 East Deer Park Road, Dix Hills. In the event of inclement weather, the rain date is Sunday, June 8, 2025.
Now in its 55th year, this reimagined version of the beloved Art in the Park event offers a fun, family-friendly outdoor experience with over 50 artists and craftspeople displaying and selling their original artwork, including paintings, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, woodwork, photography, wearable art, and more. It’s an excellent opportunity to find unique, handcrafted pieces while supporting local and regional artists.
The day’s festivities will also include live music from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM performed by Ella Beiser, delicious offerings from food trucks, and hands-on craft activities for children.
This year’s event brings a few new improvements to ensure a smoother visitor experience. A newly updated parking map and designated crossing guard will help facilitate easy and safe access for all guests. Additional parking will be available at the Dix Hills Fire Department, located just down the road from the Art League.
Visitors can also look forward to a juried art component, with prizes awarded to artists who demonstrate exceptional artistry and craftsmanship. The 2025 juror is Evan Waddy-Farr, Director of Operations and Strategic Initiatives at The Heckscher Museum. Waddy-Farr brings more than a decade of experience in nonprofit arts operations, program development, and strategic leadership.
