Udall Road Middle School in the West Islip School District held a cultural celebration on March 10 in the school’s gymnasium. Udall Road students were transported around the world as they took a journey through 28 different countries.
Foreign language and English as a New Language students set up booths throughout the space. All grade levels had the opportunity to visit the international fair as they learned about the people, culture, traditions, food and clothing of other countries. As they entered the fair, students received a passport and visited the different booths to obtain fun facts in a scavenger hunt. Those who completed their passports were eligible for a prize.
