Town Of Babylon’s Toys For Tots Drive Most Successful In Years

The Town of Babylon partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program this holiday season in what became the most successful toy drive the Town has held in years. The initiative united residents, local organizations, and volunteers with a shared mission of bringing joy and hope to children throughout the community during the holiday season.

Town officials expressed their appreciation to the many individuals, families, employees, and community groups whose generous donations made the effort possible. Special recognition was given to the Babylon Bocce Club, which organized and hosted a large-scale toy drive last month, contributing significantly to the program’s overall success.

“This is what community is all about,” said Councilman Terence McSweeney. “When residents, local organizations, and partners like the U.S. Marine Corps come together, we can truly make a difference for families and children who need it most.”

Councilman and Veterans Chairman DuWayne Gregory highlighted the importance of the program and its service connection, noting, “Toys for Tots reflects the very best of compassion, service, and community spirit. Our veterans and active-duty Marines understand the meaning of giving back, and the overwhelming response from Babylon residents speaks volumes about the strength and generosity of this town.”

Due to the strong participation and community support, this year’s Toys for Tots drive exceeded expectations, further reinforcing the Town of Babylon’s longstanding commitment to service, volunteerism, and caring for its residents during the holiday season.
