Suffolk County Legislator Steven J. Flotteron recognized Anthony P. Lucatuorto for his participation in the 11th Page Program and his work with the legislature at a graduation ceremony in the Riverhead Auditorium.
Mr. Lucatuorto, a sophomore at the University of Notre Dame’s College of Arts and Letters where he is majoring in philosophy with minors in constitutional studies and theology epitomizes who a candidate for the Page Program should be. He has completed the 10-week summer program designed to provide guidance and training needed for a select group of local college-age students to become the next generation of leaders by immersing them in the county government and instructing them on how to be dedicated community stewards. Through his volunteerism during both his years at Bay Shore High School and college, such as helping enhance the education of underprivileged children or working at a food pantry he has shown compassion and commitment towards the well-being of fellow community members.
Those participating in the Page Program share an interest in government, community service and politics. Your participation has given you the skills necessary to work as a Legislative Aide in Suffolk County government as well as gaining practical experience in a professional office setting.
