Suffolk County Legislator Tom Donnelly (D-Deer Park) recently presented County Proclamations to three graduating seniors who were recipients of the competitive Deer Park Sons of Italy, Constantino Brumidi Lodge Scholarship Awards.
The Constantino Brumidi Lodge #2211 in Deer Park is a community organization dedicated to promoting Italian culture, heritage, and values that has been serving Deer Park and its surrounding communities since 1968. The scholarships, given annually to recognize the achievements of graduating seniors, provide financial awards to assist worthy students in the furthering of their educations. Selected as this year’s recipients were Eadie Liu and Jordan Trojan of Deer Park High School and Isabella Montuori of Connetquot High School. They were honored in a ceremony at the Lodge on May 21.
“I am impressed by Eadie, Jordan and Isabella’s ability to maintain exemplary academic records and still find time to serve their schools and communities in a multitude of ways,” said Legislator Donnelly. “In recognizing them and awarding them these scholarships, the Deer Park Sons of Italy, Constantino Brumidi Lodge continues to show its commitment and dedication to serving our community as well. I thank the members of the Brumidi Lodge and wish Edie, Jordan and Isabella all the best in their very bright futures.”
