PSEG Long Island and Island Harvest Food Bank thank the people of East Northport and the surrounding communities for donating more than 1,800 pounds of food and supplies plus nearly $800 cash at PSEG Long Island’s Power to Feed Long Island food collection on Saturday, June 8. The event, held at the Stop & Shop located on Jericho Turnpike  in East Northport, brought out dozens of community members who opened their hearts, wallets and trunks to provide cash, food, personal care items and pet supplies to their neighbors in need. As a thank you for contributing, PSEG Long Island employee-volunteers handed out reusable shopping bags and LED lightbulbs – gifts that help preserve the environment and conserve energy.

The event was one of seven collection sites in the summer-long food drive initiative.
