Meet Connetquot’s Top Sharpshooters

Connetquot Central School District is pleased to announce that six elementary school students placed in the 37th annual 2023 Sharpshooter Basketball Contest, sponsored by the Town of Islip’s Department of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs. More than 900 youths participated in this annual contest through their physical education classes, and 150 finalists participated at East Islip High School on March 4.

Meet Connetquot’s Top Sharpshooters

Idle Hour Elementary School students Arabella Dwinell and Brendan Gein were winners in the 37th annual Sharpshooters Basketball Contest.

Congratulations to the following sharpshooters:

Emma D’Antonio – John Pearl Elementary – Outstanding Achievement – fifth grade girls division

Arabella Dwinell – Idle Hour Elementary – third place – fifth grade girls division

Brendan Gein – Idle Hour Elementary – second place – fourth grade boys division

Morgan Mandracchia – Edward J. Bosti Elementary – second place – fifth grade girls division

John Martinez – John Pearl Elementary – third place – fifth grade boys division
