Best Photographer Named At West Islip High School

The 2022-2023 fall colors photo contest takes place each year in the West Islip High School. It is open to any student or teacher who wishes to submit photographs for judging. There have been more than a hundred photos reviewed each year for the contest, with the top three to seven photographs in each grade selected for inclusion in the judging. More than 150 students, teachers and administrators participated in the voting to select the best digital photographs for each grade. The winners of this year’s contest are:

Ninth Grade
First place: Nicolas Esposito
Second place: Jace Bosch
Honorable mention: Jace Bosch

10th Grade
First place: Jaelyn Astacio
Second place: Meg Haarstick
Honorable mention: Gianna Ameri

11th Grade
First place: Kraig O’Neill
Second place: Daniel Caltabellotta
Honorable mention: Daniel Caltabellotta

12th Grade
First place and grand prizewinner: Evan Pecorale
Second place: Nicholas Angevine
Honorable mention: Evan Pecorale

Teachers
