The Yorker Club at Grand Avenue Middle School took their activities to new heights Feb. 17 as they embarked on an annual trip to the Empire State Building in New York City.
“Mother Nature cooperated with epic views of the city skyline including the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Chrysler and Flat Iron buildings,” said Dominik Bargiel, the club’s faculty co-adviser.
“Students were also shown how this iconic structure was built and the storied history of the building,” added Daniel Rummenie, the club’s faculty co-adviser.
The Yorker Club studies and plans visits to historical sites and participates in community service projects.
