Second grade Rising Star Chorus members at Charles A. Reinhard Early Childhood Center in the Bellmore Public School District had a mouthwatering concert. They wrapped up January on a high note with a food-themed Rising Star Chorus performance.
Rising Stars were glowing with pride on Jan. 27 as they gathered on stage for two concerts to sing songs about the foods they love to eat. The second grade Leaders narrated the concert by introducing each song and sharing interesting facts about the food highlighted. Under direction of Ms. Joanna Rocco, the chorus sang “Food, Glorious Food” from “Oliver the Musical,” “Pizza Love,” “Grandma’s Chicken Soup” and “Guacamole.” As they sang, students moved to choreography for each song, showing synergy and teamwork.
Ms. Rocco worked closely with Mrs. Mallory Aronoff to add choreography to the songs, making the concert exciting and uplifting. Loved ones in attendance thoroughly enjoyed cheering on the young musicians.
