12th Annual Chili Cook-Off Set For October 15

The Association for Mental Health and Wellness will hold their 12th Annual Chili Cook-Off and Fall Festival on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. The event – which attracts hundreds of chili (and non-chili) enthusiasts each year – raises money to support programs for individuals living with mental illness and veterans. Admission is free.

Attendees will enjoy a diverse, delicious, and creative selection of meat and vegan chili dishes from local food establishments, area businesses, and local talent. Trophies will be given in several categories including a “People’s Choice” award.

There will be a myriad of one-of-a-kind vendors, food, beverages, raffle prizes, and children’s games including a much-anticipated annual Halloween costume contest for children under 10 years of age. In addition, live music will be provided by School of Rock: Farmingdale/Sayville, part of the international music education program by the same name.
