Syosset High School held its National Athlete Commitment Day on Thursday, November 14, 2019. Syosset’s most distinguished student-athletes committed to play their respective sports at the collegiate level during a ceremony attended by family, administration, faculty and coaches. Syosset Director of Athletics, PE and Recreation Drew Cronin hosted the event in conjunction with boys varsity lacrosse coach John Calabria.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Thomas Rogers, along with Syosset coaches, commended the students on their character, dedication and achievement and recognized the students’ families for supporting them throughout their journey to becoming a collegiate athlete. “Each of these young men and women have been leaders in their respective sports programs and now it’s time to take what they have learned to the collegiate level and make us proud,” remarked Calabria, as he expressed his excitement for the students’ futures.
