Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone announced the sixth annual Farewell to Summer Concert. The free concert will be held on Wednesday, October 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, located at 71 E. Main Street in Patchogue. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
“This popular event has attracted scores of residents over the past few years who enjoy an evening of music in their own backyards,” said County Executive Bellone. “This year’s performance will be another worthwhile chance for everyone to come out and hear some of their favorite time-honored hits as we say goodbye to summer.”
Tradewinds Band will provide musical entertainment and play all the hits from the 1970s to present. Since 2014, nearly 6,000 tickets have been distributed for the Farewell to Summer Senior Concert series. Concerts have been previously held in the Patchogue Theater for the Performing Arts in Patchogue; the Suffolk Theater in Riverhead; and the Pennysaver Amphitheater at Bald Hill, Farmingville.
All attendees must have a ticket for admission. Residents can obtain their free tickets to the concert by visiting www.patchoguetheatre.org or by calling the Suffolk County Office for the Aging at 631-853-8200. Please note that seating is limited, and reservations will be made on a first come, first served basis.
