St. James Elementary School in the Smithtown Central School District turned into a snowman-making factory when the kindergartners started assembling snowmen on Dec. 16. Set up in the school’s multipurpose room, the students, along with an adult volunteer, created snowmen out of socks filled with rice. They used fuzzy socks to create a hat and scarf for their creation before attached eyes and a carrot nose.
