Two Seaford High School students were selected for American Legion Boy’s State, a leadership action program in which qualified male high school juniors participate in a practical government course.
The Seaford American Legion selected Jason Linzer and Chris Surace to represent the post in this year’s program, with Logan Masters and Ben Trink chosen as alternates. Eight juniors from the high school were chosen by the high school faculty to be interviewed by American Legion representatives.
The program is designed to develop, in young citizens, a working knowledge of the structure of government and to impress upon them the fact that their government is just what they make it. Only young men with outstanding qualifications in leadership, character, scholarship, service and citizenship and who have a serious attitude toward intensive citizenship training are selected.
