North Babylon’s Parliament Place Elementary School hosted a Dual Language Parent workshop, where students in the K-3 Dual Language program performed a production in Spanish for their families. The production was based on the folktale, “La Ratita Presumida/The Vain Little Mouse.”
After the performance, students participated in a variety of Math and Movement stations in the gym, where they used fun floor mats to move around and practice math concepts. These fun, kinesthetic activities helped support the development of skills, such as bilingual counting, skip counting, place value, counting by 10s, and telling time.
