Nassau County Executive Laura Curran attended the America’s VetDogs’ 5th Annual Long Island Run and Dog Walk on Saturday, July 27 at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford. The event helps to support the mission of America’s VetDogs to train and places service dogs to United States veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders with disabilities. It costs over $50,000 to breed, raise, train, and place one service dog– however, all of America’s VetDogs’ services are provided at no charge to the individual.
