Suffolk County Legislator Tom Muratore recently attended a ceremony to honor crossing guards of the Middle Country School District. The event was held at the Selden Fire Department, and co-hosted by both Selden and Centereach Fire Districts.
“Crossing guards are the unsung heroes of public safety in our community,” stated Legislator Muratore, who presented Certificates of Recognition to each crossing guard. “They protect our most valued commodity-our children-get to school safely each day, and deserve our gratitude. I thank Selden Fire District Manager Jay Egan and both Fire Districts collectively for coordinating a great event.”
