Lewin Farms, a big farm with an even bigger heart, continued their Thanksgiving tradition this year. For almost two decades Lewin Farms has closed their doors and opened their hearts to neighbors in need of food. Over the years Lewin Farms has donated over 300,000 pounds of food. On Thanksgiving Eve, 23 volunteers from 7 different soup kitchens and food pantries met at the farm to gather food. The food collection was organized by the Rocky Point Rotary Club. Next year please remember to shop locally and try to buy your produce from a farm that gives back to the community in a major way!
