Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen presented Long Island Cares with a check for $450 on behalf of all of the Town of Islip employees who donated $5 to the Casual for the Cause Dress Down day last month.
Long Island Cares and the Harry Chapin Food Bank provide meals to families and individuals in need across Long Island.
“We’re proud to be part of the meaningful services Long Island Cares provides to all residents, particularly to those residents in need in the Town of Islip,” said Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
