HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING AT ORIENT BEACH STATE PARK
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation is pleased to announce that the Holiday Tree Lighting at Orient Beach State Park in Orient will take place on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 6:30pm.
We invite everyone to join us to help Santa light the tree in celebration of the holiday season. The Oysterponds Elementary School chorus will sing holiday songs and hot chocolate and cookies will be served. All activities will take place outside so please dress accordingly. In the spirit of the season, we will be collecting winter coats and non-perishable food items for families in need in our community. Any donations are welcomed and appreciated.

HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING AT PLANTING FIELDS ARBORETUM STATE HISTORIC PARK
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is pleased to announce that the 14th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park in Oyster Bay, NY will take place on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.
Everyone is invited to experience Planting Fields Arboretum in all its winter splendor. The Arboretum gates will open at 5:30 pm. At 6:00 pm sharp, the magnificent thirty-five-foot Japanese Umbrella Pine on the south side of the Camelia Greenhouse will be lit by Santa. Afterwards, you can visit with Santa in the Hay Barn until 7:30 pm.
From 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm you can tour the first floor of Coe Hall and view the exquisite holiday decorations. The Main Greenhouse will be open so you can see the spectacular poinsettia displays featuring seven varieties of poinsettias. In the Planting Fields Visitor Center you can listen to the Twin Shores Chorus sing holiday songs. Also, don’t forget to stop by the Magnolia Cafe to enjoy some holiday refreshments.

BELMONT LAKE STATE PARK HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is pleased to announce that the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting at Belmont Lake State Park will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 4:15 pm to 6:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to join us in this magical celebration of the holiday season.
Prior to the lighting of the tree by Santa Claus, traditional holiday music will be sung by the elementary choruses of North Babylon School District on the front lawn of the Long Island State Park Headquarters at Belmont Lake State Park. After Santa and his helpers light the tree, you can visit with him in the lobby of the Headquarters Building until 6:30 pm. Other activities include an ice sculpting demonstration, numerous holiday displays, a magic show, a juggler, food and merchandise vendors and a spectacular firework display over the lake!

HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING AT BAYARD CUTTING ARBORETUM
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation is pleased to announce that on Friday, December 7, 2018 the 22nd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Great River will take place from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Everyone is welcome to participate in this Yuletide Celebration! Join the carolers in a sing-a-long of traditional holiday songs while awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus. Upon his arrival, Santa will light the tree for the 2018 holiday season. Afterwards, hot beverages will be served and you can visit with Santa. All activities take place outdoors so please dress accordingly. The Manor House will not be open. In the spirit of the season we will be collecting canned goods and new unwrapped toys for those in need in our community. All donations are appreciated.

Directions: Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park is located at 440 Montauk Highway in Great River, NY. From the west take Southern State Parkway East to Montauk Highway Easy (27A). Proceed past the traffic light. The park will be on your right. From the east take Sunrise Highway west to Oakdale-Bohemia Road South to Montauk Highway west to park entrance.
