By: Noelle Lambert
The Equity First Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, which services clients all over Long Island. Rhonda Klch started this foundation with the mission to offer services, resources and programs to consumers and small businesses that are facing financial distress.
This nonprofit is guided by a board of experts from the Long Island business community. They strive to educate the community so people can make financial decisions with knowledge and confidence. Some people they help through their workshops are those in women’s shelters, homeless shelters, veteran homes, at-risk communities, drug rehabilitation centers and senior centers.
Additionally, as a way to honor women of Long Island that have excelled and created an impact in the areas of community, volunteer, philanthropy and business development, this nonprofit is holding their third annual Angel Awards! The event will be held tomorrow, September 27th, from 11AM – 2PM at The Piermont in Babylon!
This year’s nominees are Carla Hamilton, Allyson Scerri, Dawn Sambade, Celeste Martin, Lori Ann Gonzalez, Tracey Lutz, Connie Henriquez, Chrissy Bogue, Patricia Peterson, Megan Smith, Renee Flagler, Teri Mangione, Gina Centauro, Heidi Felix, Lisa Albinowski, Nicole Contera, Debbie Stone, Donna Lillie, Therese Mora, Anne Line, Christina Lentini, Patricia Balestras, Laura Rogacki and Judiann Carmack-Fayyaz.
