Analisa Coppa Earns Gold Key Writing Award

Analisa Coppa of John F. Kennedy High School in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District recently earned Gold Key writing awards from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.

 

The awards were for her short story “Clarity” as well as her writing portfolio “Case Study of the Soul.”

 

This recognition puts Coppa, 17, in the running for Scholastic’s $10,000 scholarship.

 

This competition is open to high school students nationwide and usually brings in tens of thousands of entries.
