The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation announces that swimming is currently prohibited at Zach’s Bay located within Jones Beach State Park due to high bacteria counts.
This prohibition is a precautionary step to assure protection of the health and safety of our swimmers.
Results from additional water quality testing will be reviewed to determine when swimming will once again be permitted. Notification will be provided at the park and through media sources.
